Biographies members of FEU ORT

Yann Maenner

Often seen behind a bass and synthesizers with artists such as J.NUNN, Roxane or NNAVY, Yann Maenner has performed on numerous stages in Switzerland such as the Docks, Fri-Son, the Gurten Festival, the Montreux Jazz Festival and the OpenAir St.Gallen, but also in France, Germany and the Netherlands. Between electronica, soul, pop, jazz or improvised performances, he draws his versatility from listening and sharing, his particular attention to groove and his passion for timbres and the sculpture of group sound.

After composing a first EP "sédiments" under the pseudonym nn_a_n_y and playing in several renowned jazz venues in Switzerland, he produced his new, more electronic project FEU ORT . After a year of composition and a week of recording at Midilive studio, he is currently producing his first album, which will be released in 2026.

Currently based in Lausanne, he is completing his Master's in Jazz Bass Performance at the HEMU University of Music.

Justine Tornay

Singer, trumpeter, composer, author, and performer, Justine Tornay, originally from Orsières (VS/CH), is a multifaceted artist. Winner of the 2022 Mentorship Award at the Cully Jazz Festival, she stands out for her desire to forge musical connections across genres. From electronic music to improvised music, including pop, rock, and classical, her career reflects a constant quest for new horizons.

It is within the indie-pop electronica project: J.NUNN, that she chooses to express her own voice mixed with those of several artists met throughout her career. In 2023, the group unveils its very first EP Shadow of Nunn, supported by the label Blizzard Audio Club. The project quickly attracts the attention of several organizations in the Swiss and international music scene.

Justine thus follows a dual path: collaborating and sharing, while asserting her artistic identity. A subtle and exciting balance where each encounter enriches and nourishes her creativity.

Arthur Routaboul

Arthur Routaboul is a drummer and producer based in Lausanne. Active in the current jazz scene, he is developing his personal project Ace Ross, which combines jazz, electronics, and contemporary textures. His first single, "So Do I," featuring Shems Bendali, was released in early April 2025, and a first EP is planned for June 2025. The project will make its stage debut at the Cully Jazz Festival and the Jumeaux Jazz Club in April 2025.

At the same time, he supports various projects: Angelo Powers (neo-soul and r&b), for whom he was artistic director, producer and mixer of the first album; Vee Mukarati and the Horn of Hope (afro-jazz), Gewurzt (experimental folk) and FEU ORT (experimental post-rock).

He is currently pursuing a Master's degree in musical performance at HEMU in Lausanne, while asserting his artistic identity on stage and in the studio.
