Yann Maenner is a musician and bassist based in Lausanne. Composer, performer, producer, and arranger, Yann stands out for his varied career. Between electronica, jazz, soul, pop, funk, and improvised performances, he draws his versatility from listening, sharing, and his particular attention to rhythmic and spectral interactions. Always curious to tell sonic stories, both electronic and acoustic, he constantly seeks to sculpt a unified sound and tell a shared story.

It was through his interest in effects pedals that Yann began studying computer-assisted production in 2020 and began his first composition project "nn_a_n_y". He then studied production and arrangement privately with Tamuz Dekel (guitarist of the avant-garde group TATRAN) who would later appear as a featured artist on his track "ando." in 2022. Some of his sonic explorations would appear on the EP "sédiments." and would perform in concert with an instrumental quintet at AMR or Jazz Onze +. He also collaborated with J.NUNN and appeared on a remix EP alongside Arthur Hnatek.

Now enriched by his experiences as a composer and accompanist, he launches his new project FEU ORT and seeks to unite around his artistic vision. After a recording session in March 2025, he produces an album of 8 tracks tinged with techno, pop and electronica glimmers which, will be released during 2026.

Yann began his career cultivating this diversity of artistic expressions, convinced that music is the vehicle for a multitude of extremely different energies. It is by collaborating, sharing his experiences, and exchanging ideas that he hopes to explore different musical microcosms, discover their stories, and understand a little better each day why music connects people.
